LIAM DONATES PAINTING TO BE AUCTIONED FOR CLIC

Published March 12th, 2007

Renos Loizou has donated one of his paintings ‘Figure 1’ to Liam Fairhurst to be auctioned in aid of the charity CLIC, for which Liam is aiming to raise £100,000. Having already raised an astonishing £70,000 through his determined fundraising efforts, Liam continues the fight. With the recent news of Liam’s cancer returning, Liam and his family are even more determined to achieve their targets and fight this cancer.

Renos Loizou was born in Cyprus and now lives in Cambridgeshire. Being aware of Liam’s situation and living nearby Loizou was keen to help. Loizou’s paintings use colour and technique to full effect, with many hanging in the Cambridge colleges and in Kettles Yard. The painting ‘Figure 1’, screen print, 72cm x 53cm, has an estimate of £300-400.

The painting will be auctioned at Cheffins Salerooms, Clifton Road, Cambridge
