$10 Million Diamond, Gemstone and Jewelry Auction in Dubai

Published March 14th, 2007

Dubai will host a $10 million auction of Tzoffey’s 1818 diamonds, gemstones, and jewelry May 9. The Dubai Magnificent Jewels Auction is the company’s 19th international auction, and will be held during the International Colored Gemstone Association’s (ICA) congress in the emirate.

“Dubai is the most exciting place to conduct our next auction,” says Tzoffey’s owner Avner Sofiov. “We were challenged to locate the most suitable items that would not be shaded by this oasis of fortune and richness.” DMCC members and ICA Congress attendees will be able to preview auction items at the upcoming Basel Fair, according to Sofiov.

Tzoffey’s 1818 is a privately owned auction house specializing in diamonds, precious stones, and rare jewelry. Sofiov is an ICA board member and chairman of its Ethics and Arbitration Committee.

The 12 Biennial ICA Congress will take place in Dubai from May 5-9.
