Williams & Williams Hires New VP of Operations, Doug Turner

. April 19, 2007

Williams & Williams, the world’s premier real estate auction company, announced the appointment of Doug Turner as Vice President of Operations. His role will include the strategic and day-to-day oversight of the core operating functions, including IT and application development, client services, customer service, title and closing, as well as product development.

Prior to joining Williams & Williams, Turner held numerous sales, product management, product development and operations management roles at TV Guide during his almost 12 year tenure. In his most recent position, Turner was responsible for product management and development for the TV Guide Channel in the U.S., Latin America and Canada. During his time at TV Guide, Turner headed the development and operations team responsible for re-launching the TV Guide Channel’s delivery system, which then served more than 58 million subscribers in more than 2500 cable systems in the United States. Turner was also instrumental in the technical strategy, launch plan and content development for TV Guide Channel’s initial video-on-demand distribution models. In 1999, Turner was tapped to lead all technical and operational development for a start-up cable network for TV Guide Television. More recently his team was responsible for the launch of the first-ever interactive television application to operate in conjunction with the TV Guide Channel, bringing together efforts from multiple intra-company groups as well as vendors and distributors.

Before working for TV Guide, Turner was EVP of Operations at SiteMaster, Inc. – a Tulsa-based provider of outsourced operations and maintenance services for the cellular communications market.

“Our company has grown exponentially over the last year, and early 2007 forecasts show that trend will continue,” said Dean Williams, CEO and president of Williams & Williams. “We are very excited to have hired an individual with Doug’s product management, IT applications and operational background. As we continue to expand our national real estate auction opportunities and delve into new media platforms such as our Online Only Auctions, Doug’s leadership will prove to be of great value for our firm.”
