Cherrystone Stamp Auction Announces New York City Rare Philatelic Auction

Cherrystone Auctions, a New York City Philatelic auction house, announces three rare stamp auctions to take place May 8-16, 2007.

The first stamp auction is a specialized sale of stamps from Germany, taking place on May 8. This sale offers over 400 lots of rare German stamps, including stamps from German States, Colonies and Occupation Issues.

On May 9, the second installment of the philatelic stock of Souren Serebrakian will be sold. This stock contains many proofs and topicals, include imperforate stamps, deluxe sheets and much more. The first S. Serebrakian sale was auctioned in 2004 by Cherrystone and realized over $1 million.

The third auction will be held May 15-16. This sale will contain rare United States stamps, Worldwide stamps and postal history, including stamps of Great Britain, British Commonwealth, Italy, Russia with Soviet Union, as well as groups of large lots and balances.

The auction will take place at Cherrystone’s ( galleries in midtown Manhattan.
