Highlights include a 19th century Australian cedar extending dining table (estimates $12,000-18,000), a fine pair of ormolu bronze and marble candelabra ($30,000-40,000) and a Victorian carved walnut display cabinet c1880 ($8,000-12,000).

Robert Bunda passed away last year after a long illness. He was born in Slovakia in 1931. Having escaped the Communist occupation at age 17, he emigrated to Australia and immediately took to the Australian way of life, working first as a pastry chef at the Menzies Hotel and later as a hire car Driver. He enjoyed all that Sydney had to offer – the coffee shops in Kings Cross, fishing at Parsley Bay, playing volleyball on Bondi Beach and playing cards socially.

Robert is survived by his wife Veronica and two sons, Mark and Ben. Veronica and Ben own and operate one of Australia’s most exclusive jewellery stores, Bunda, located at street level, The Hilton Hotel, George Street, Sydney. Mark works as a jewellery valuer in New York.
