Heritage Comic Auctions Reaches 50,000 Members

. November 14, 2007

AuctionPublicity.com – “When we held our first comic auction in November 2001, Heritage had $150 million in annual sales and a total of 39,500 bidder-members, all of whom were coin and currency bidders,” said Heritage co-chairman Jim Halperin. “Our annual sales have almost quadrupled since that time, and we now have over 325,000 bidder-members across all collectibles categories.”

“Comics remains one of our strongest divisions, in fact our total comics and comic art sales since we started in November 2001 are over $85 million.” Halperin added. “Hitting the 50,000 bidder mark also demonstrates how strong the comic hobby has become.”

Registering to bid is free. In addition to placing bids, Heritage members can research the values of their collections, set up online wantlists and take advantage of many other features. The Comics website can be accessed directly at www.HA.com/Comics.

Prospective consignors and sellers of Comics and Comic Art are invited to www.HA.com/Sell. Or simply email Ed Jaster at EdJ@HA.com, or call 1-800-872-6467, ext. 1288.
