AuctionPublicity.com - The Bonhams’ inaugural auction of Fine Western and Jadeite Jewellery will feature over 150 lots of impressive jewellery with a total estimate of over HK$30 million. Some of the highlights are:
An impressive pair of coloured diamond earrings
Each set with a 1.01 carats fancy dark violet grey brilliant-cut diamond or 1.02 carats fancy intense pink brilliant-cut diamond within a brilliant-cut diamond frame, to a pair of diamond link bars separated by a pink or purple brilliant-cut diamond, surmounted by a 0.24 carat fancy intense pink brilliant-cut diamond or a 0.22 carat fancy intense purplish pink brilliant-cut diamond within a diamond surround, mounted in 18k white gold, earring length 5.2cm.
Estimate price: HK$2.8 million to 3.8 million.
An exceptional emerald and diamond ring
The octagonal step-cut emerald, weighing 13.55 carats, within a four double-claw setting, between trapeze-cut diamonds, the gallery and shoulders pavé-set with brilliant-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, diamonds approximately 2.10 carats total.
Estimate price: HK$1.7 million to 2.7 million.
A coloured diamond ring
Set with an oval brilliant-cut diamond, weighing 1.57 carats, within a diamond surround, the gallery and shoulders decorated with rose-cut diamonds of yellow tint, mounted in 18k white gold, diamonds approximately 2.80 carats total.
Estimate price: HK$810,000 – 910,000.
A ruby and diamond ring
The oval ruby, weighing 5.07 carats, within a four-claw setting, between fancy-cut diamonds, mounted in platinum, diamonds approximately 0.90 carat total.
Estimate price: HK$1.2 million – 2.2 million.
An impressive jadeite Guanyin pendant
Of semi-transparent, brilliant green jadeite with slightly uneven patches, the deity with serene expression and a baguette and brilliant-cut diamond halo, seated on a throne of baguette and brilliant-cut diamond graduating scrolls, the reverse carved with lotus and water lily flowers signifying purity and enlightenment, mounted in 18k white gold, accompanied by an 18k white gold link neckchain, diamonds approximately 5.5 carats total, necklace length 65.5 cm, pendant dimensions 61 x 44 x 2 mm.
Estimate price: HK$1.5 million – 2.5 million.
An impressive jadeite and diamond ring
The glassy, bright green jadeite cabochon of very good translucency, with a scalloped three-tiered surround pavé-set with diamonds, the middle tier enhanced by twelve brilliant-cut diamonds set at intervals, to a gallery and shoulders pavé-set with diamonds, mounted in 18k white and blackened gold, diamonds approximately 3.76 carats total, cabochon dimensions 25 x 19 x 10 mm.
Estimate price: HK$1.2 million – 1.8 million.
An alexandrite necklace with pendant
The pendant composed of a pear-shaped step-cut alexandrite, weighing 2.86 carats, suspended from a brilliant-cut diamond within a marquise-cut alexandrite border, to a necklace set with graduated brilliant-cut diamonds and marquise-cut alexandrites, mounted in platinum, alexandrites approximately 26.6 carats total, diamonds approximately 3.94 carats total, pendant length 3.5 cm, necklace length 42.5 cm.
Estimate price: HK$850,000 – 1,050,000.
A pair of diamond, sapphire and ruby earclips, by Oscar Heyman
Each earclip is designed as a stylised flower with petal layers of pavé-set brilliant cut white and yellow diamonds, accented by a brilliant-cut ruby or sapphire rosette centre, mounted in 18k yellow gold and platinum, signed Oscar Heyman and numbered, diamonds approximately 7.5 carats, earring size 3.0 x 3.2 cm.
Estimate price: HK$250,000 – 300,000.
