Up for Bid on Auction Network: Sharon and Ozzys Personal Favorites

Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne made international headlines when they announced they would be auctioning off personal items from three of their homes. On November 30 and December 1, exclusively on Auction NETWORK (www.auctionnetwork.tv), viewers from around the world will be able to watch the Osbourne auction live and Bid in real-time on more than 500 items from Sharon and Ozzy?s personal collection of art, furniture and memorabilia?many items recognizable from the family?s popular TV series.
?The Osbourne event is an integral part of the increasing excitement on Auction Network,? said Auction Network CEO Pam McKissick. ?We?re committed to opening up the world of auctions to global viewers, and this auction is just an example of the rich entertainment we have in store.?
The sale will be held on November 30 and December 1 at Gibson Guitar Showroom in Beverly Hills, California, and a portion of the proceeds will be donated to the Sharon Osbourne Colon Cancer Foundation. Hosted by one of the nation?s top auction houses, Julien?s Auctions, the two-day sale consists of three sessions ? Friday, November 30 at 1:00 p.m. EST, Saturday, December 1 at 1:00 p.m. EST and at 5:00 p.m.

Auction Network will be there to capture each session live and broadcast live pre- and post-auction shows, interviewing attendees and auctioneers about the excitement surrounding the sale of this entertaining family?s items. These pre- and post-auction shows will air 30 minutes prior to and immediately following each auction and feature exclusive interviews with Sharon Osbourne, giving viewers a glimpse of why these special, personal items are up for bid. According to whom you ask, the reasons may differ!
?It has taken our lifetime to collect all of these items,? said Sharon Osbourne. ?Both Ozzy and I have very special memories of each and every item as it came into our home and became part of our lives. It is like giving up a part of us and we hope each and every item finds a very special home.?
Ozzy takes a different tone. ?I don?t know why we are selling everything as I want it all,? he said. ?Sharon tells me that we have to, otherwise our house will f****** explode. As Long as she does not Ask me for a pair of my boxers for the auction I will support it, especially since it is helping raise funds for her charity.?
The hundreds of personal possessions up for bid are taken from the Osbourne?s three palatial residences, located in Beverly Hills, Malibu and Buckinghamshire, England. Some items from these homes that viewers might recognize from the Osbourne?s massively popular reality TV show include:
A gilded Buddha statue featured prominently in the Osbourne?s backyard during the series (estimated at $8,000 - $10,000)
The beaded wire model of the Eiffel Tower featured in the show (estimated at $150 ? $200)
The cast bronze Devil?s head plaque that was mounted on the front door and featured during the first season of the show (estimated at $800 - $1,200)
A hand-painted Mary Rose Young teacup and saucer that was Ozzy?s preferred coffee cup (estimated at $200 - $400)
Jack Osbourne?s black leather bed with crucifix motif in rivets (estimated at $1,000 - $2,000)
A Continental cast-iron crucifix that adorned Ozzy?s den (estimated at $800 - $1,200)
The historic Adler Victorian-style carved walnut pool table, which bears a plaque stating that it was ?Handcrafted for Ozzy Osbourne by Adler? (estimated at $8,000 - $10,000)
A pair of Ozzy?s trademark sunglasses (estimated at $600 - $800)
Though many of the family?s artifacts are now famous due to their exposure on MTV, some of the Osbourne?s favorite possessions up for bid may be new to viewers. A walnut parquetry inlaid games table from their Gothic-style house in Beverly Hills is estimated at $4,000 - $6,000. Ozzy and Sharon?s master bedroom distressed painted Louis XVI-style bed from their Malibu home is estimated at $1,800 - $2,600. A Gabriel Ferrier oil on canvas portrait of a lady in a black dress and gloves from their Buckinghamshire, England, mansion is estimated at $4,000 - $5,000. The sale also contains a number of ATV quad bikes, including the Yamaha ?Banshee? vehicle that was involved in Ozzy?s serious accident.
?For the first time in two years, viewers will get another peek into the Osbournes? world and have the chance to own a piece of pop culture?s First Family,? said Fontana Fitzwilson, general manager of Auction Network. ?If the world thought their reality show was fascinating, there?s no question this auction event will be great entertainment.?
