Silent Auction to Benefit Women with Breast Cancer

Published February 28th, 2008

Sacramento, CA - The Sacramento Breast Cancer Resource Center, Inc. is holding a silent auction on March 18, 2008 at 6pm. The event is hosted by Bali Wine Bar & Grill. Tickets are on sale now for $35 per person.

Proceeds from ticket sales and auction will help women who are currently undergoing treatments of breast cancer. Money raised will help offer women the basic needs as they go through the recovery process of breast cancer treatments. According to the founder of the Sacramento Breast Cancer Resource Center, Inc., Gina Andrews, “It is important to help women who have limited assistance by offering free services and resources. These programs will assist in making the recovery process a bit easier for them.”

Some auction items include a signed jersey from Joe Montana during his days with the 49ers, dinner for two from various restaurants within the Sacramento area, jewelry, art, paintings, gift baskets, and more.

About Sacramento Breast Cancer Resource Center, Inc. (SBCRC) – SBCRC is a 501©(3) non-profit organization founded by Gina Andrews in 2007. Gina is a mother, wife, and a young breast cancer survivor. During her fight with breast cancer, she found there were little or no resources to help her get through the recovery process. So she formed her own organization to provide services that a woman would need as she goes through treatments.
SBCRC’s mission is to foster hope and inspiration to women who are currently fighting the battle with breast cancer. Our goal is to provide free services to enhance and improve the quality of life for women undergoing the treatments and surgeries associated with breast cancer.
