Hewlett’s Hosts Glass Auction, May 3-4

LE GRAND, Calif. – On May 3-4 an outstanding Cambridge glass collection will be sold at Hewlett’s Antique Auction’s auction hall.

The lifelong collection of Glen and Kathy Corbett will feature some of the rarest and finest items ever made by the Cambridge glass works. More than 1500 items in total will be auctioned in what is believed to be the largest collection of Cambridge glass to ever to be sold at auction.

Highlights of the sale include: an extremely rare, large milk glass swan punch bowl with swan cups (only eight known to be in existence); a fantastic Cambridge Glass salesman’s kit for teaching about glass making at schools and fairs (also one of a kind); two mahjong 8-inch canapé plates, two golden encrusted “Diane” pattern etched Carmen colored lamps, and a striking black glass humidor with gold encrusted golf pattern etching.

According to auctioneer Buster Hewlett, the items in this sale will not only be offered for live bidding in the Le Grand auction hall, they will be available to bidders world wide, with live bidding on the Enternet through eBay Live Auctions.
