BOLLYWOOD comes to Tennants Leyburn

PUBLISHED 4 April 2008

An item rarely seen in a North Yorkshire saleroom is a wedding or ceremonial collar to be included in Tennants Spring Sale on 10-11 April.

weddingorceremonialcollar.jpgOf Indian or Pakistani origin the collar is set with a huge array of large, smooth precious stones comprising diamond set sections hung with ruby and emerald ‘pebbles’, making this a truly striking and decorative piece. It is sold with a pair of similar emerald and diamond earrings. Consigned from a private collection the collar is believed to have been in the same family since the 1920’s and carries a conservative estimate of £5,000-£8,000.

Entries are being invited for Tennants next Catalogue Sale to be held on 17-18 July 2008. For more information please contact Adam Schoon or Sarah Hardy at Tennants on +44(0)1969 623780
