Melbourne Fine Jewellery Auction

fine-jewellery.jpgOn Monday 26 May, Bonhams & Goodman will conduct an auction of Fine Jewellery. The strongest Melbourne offering to date, this sale offers a broad cross section of jewellery and watches from all periods.

Highlights include:
Lot 200: A rhodonite elephant by Carl Faberge;
Lot 220: A fine white and pink diamond ring by John Calleija (centre stone a 3 carat round brilliant cut diamond with HRD certificate stating G colour and VS1 clarity);
Lot 175: A 3.29 carat round brilliant cut solitaire diamond ring (GIA certificate stating H colour and Internally Flawless) and
Lot 70: A 3.12 carat emerald cut diamond ring with IGI certificate stating I colour and SI1 clarity

There are numerous solitaire diamond rings including Princess cuts, emerald cuts and an unusual 1.48 carat profile cut diamond.

Also included is contemporary jewellery by Van Cleef & Arpels, Cartier, Tiffany & CO. andGeorg Jensen.

Some of the antique lots include a fine early Victorian Amethyst Riviere, a Russian gold bangle, a signed Art Nouveau pendant by Bonte and a diamond crescent brooch. There is also an offering of early Australian gold jewellery including a Coolgardie Miners Brooch.

There are many watches including Rolex, Patek Philippe, Panerai, Bvlgari, Audemars Piguet, Vacheron Constantin, Omega and Piaget.
