A painted Mirror fronted Music Cabinet of demunitive size 131cms x 34cms (Lot 28, 29th July 2008), has sparked much interest amongst global furniture collectors and the antiques furniture trade. Thought to date from the early 19th Century the hand painted cabinet is adorned with musical instruments and floral swags and retains the original mirror to the cupboard door, above four floral swag painted drawers. The carved and painted stretcher has a central oval cartouche painted with roses. The estimate for this rare and original painted furniture is £500 - £700.
