Pejmani Ring Top Seller at Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels Auction
At Sotheby’s Magnificent Jewels Auction in Geneva a Pejmani ring proved to be the top seller. The exquisite piece with an 8.02ct Fancy Pink pear-shaped diamond was sold for $1.32 million.
Although none of the top three pieces at the Magnificent Jewels Auction has been sold, the sale of the Pejmani ring seems to be somewhat inconsistent with the general opinion that in these times of financial uncertainty potential buyers show reluctance.
“We believe, however,” a spokesman of Pejmani explains, “that especially because of the current economic climate people turn to more valuable goods. Objects of high value are more stable and inflation-proof, and, therefore, a good investment.”
Exceptional gems, exceptional company
Pejmani is a relatively new player in high-end jewellery. According to the spokesman of the Belgium-based company, Pejmani jewels acquire their uniqueness by the exceptional creation process; the entire design and manufacturing of the jewels is done in-house. Another singularity is the fact that Pejmani designers are not dependent on the supply of the diamond market, as all diamonds are polished by the company itself.
In the near future, the Pejmani company is planning an aggressive expansion. The intention is to take advantage of the current economic situation in order to strengthen the jeweller’s market position. Pejmani plans to achieve this goal by selecting highly exclusive and service- orientated retailers to promote the Pejmani brand.
