Jay Marshall Magic Collection Auction

Potter & Potter Auctions has announced it’s next public auction: A selection of genuinely rare magicana from the collection of Jay Marshall.

This sale will include what is perhaps some of the best material from the late great collector/magician’s legendary holdings. Most of the items will be sold with no reserve. The auction will include genuinely rare and historically significant ephemera, books, apparatus, scrapbooks, posters and memorabilia.

Highlights of the sale include Dai Vernon’s famous “Twenty Dollar Manuscript,” Houdini challenges and memorabilia, scarce lithographs, apparatus with significant historical association, and antiquarian books on conjuring. Many items in the sale are one-of-a-kind rarities that have never been offered at auction before.

The auction is scheduled for Sunday, April 26th, 2009 at the Hyatt Regency Woodfield Hotel, Schaumburg, Illinois. Previews will be held April 25, also at the Hyatt.
