PUBLISHED 27 February 2009

Over 1,000 items of modern collectable china, kitchenware and glassware are to be sold at Tennants over the next couple of weeks. Over 70 lots will be split into two of their weekly antique and home furnishing sales on 28 February and the majority on 14 March.

tennants-auctioneers.JPGThis large collection was instructed to Tennants from a private individual in the Harrogate area and all are to be sold with no reserve. The lady was a “pot a holic” with all the items in unused condition. Making space for a new extension on the house the lady has to sell to make space for the workman. The obsession started from a young age when the lady worked in a “Posh” old fashion china shop in Harrogate owned by a neighbour. Her love affair with quality new china has led to this sale, included are names like Emma Bridgewater, Royal Worcester, Spode, Denby, Versace Rosenthal, Cath Kidson, Poole, Nigella Lawson, T G Green, contempory glass and many more.

Tennants Auctioneers Weekly Antique and Home Furnishing sales provide the ideal opportunity to discover some interesting and varied items. The sales are made up of between 700 – 900 lots including furniture, pictures, jewellery and ceramics.
