PUBLISHED 17 March 2009

Despite reports of economic downturns on Wall Street and hard times across the nation the firearm industry proves resilient in Fairfield, ME. Poulin Auction Company’s March 14th and 15th Firearm, Militaria and Sporting Auction grossed over Million, the third consecutive time in the past year and a half. Thousands of bids were received from absentee and phone bidders participating from all over the world including England, Canada, France, Australia, Germany, Alaska and others. Some highlights include a Second Model Brown Bess Flintlock Musket of the American Revolution period that brought ,000; an early paint decorated powder horn reached ,165; a pair of Springfield 1903 grenade launchers finalized at ,290; a lot including Russian PSM and a MAB Model R, two foreign military pistols brought ,967.
Low estimate for the two day auction was 0,000 the final realized total was over Million. Proving that this is an excellent time to sell whether it be an entire collection or a single item, the firearm demand seems to be unaffected by the fluctuating economy.
