Antique Estates Auction w/ 19th Century Prints
Worcester, MA – Central Mass Auctions Inc. (www.centralmassauctions.com) will be offering a collection of 19th and early 20th Century posters and prints in their Thursday April 30th Auction.
Many prints and posters are promotional pieces for Harper’s and other periodicals. They cover a wide range of interests including golf, articles by famous authors and are illustrations by Penfield and other popular illustrators.
This is a multi-estate auction and other items include stereopticon images including a collection of nudes and Black Americana.
The auction also features gold and silver coins and gold jewelry.
Included is a World War II photo album that belonged to an officer along with some of his mementos. The album contains a photo of General Douglas MacArthur in New Guinea and another in Australia.
Other items, include a Nantucket basket, silk antique Oriental Rug, bronze oil lamp with Dragon and Stork design and a 2 gallon stoneware crock with a cobalt blue peacock.
