Maas Companies announced today that Ameriserv Financial negotiated an advance purchase of MH Technologies, cancelling the real estate auction scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 15. The property was sold for an undisclosed price.

Allison Guyton, director of operations for the Maas auction company stated, “The involved parties felt this buyer offered the best possibility of maintaining the property as a single operating entity which may in turn allow the plant to resume operations.”

MH Technologies was one of only a handful of facilities worldwide able to produce this specialty product. The plant operated through June 2009 and included 137,819 sq. ft. in nine industrial structures on a 16.466 acre site with another 24.82 acres excess. The package included more than 600 lots of equipment.
