Rare Bracket Clock for Sydney Auction

A rare 19th century automata bracket clock is one of the highlights of Bonhams and Goodman Fine Furniture & Decorative Arts auction. Once owned by the Maharaja of Patna in the 1890s, this charming clock is estimated to achieve between $50,000 – 60,000 at the auction on Tuesday 18 October in Sydney.

The auction also features highlights such as an important early colonial sofa, the John Verge breastplates, a private collection of George III and Regency furniture from Melbourne, Fine French furniture including pieces by Henry Dasson and Monbro and a monumental pair of 2nd Empire gilt mirrors, Russian silver by Fabergé and Grachev, Asian art and a collection of English silver and vertu.
