FINE ORIENTAL RUGS TO HIGHLIGHT GROGAN’S DECEMBER AUCTION

On Monday evening, December 7th, Grogan and Company Fine Art Auctioneers and Appraisers will be conducting their December Auction, comprised of Fine American and European Paintings, Drawings, Prints and Sculpture and Fine Oriental Rugs and Carpets. The 150 lot auction will begin at 6:00 p.m. and will comprise only a choice array of Fine Art and Rugs.

The rug highlights include a collection of approximately forty-five Fine Oriental Rugs and Carpets, featuring a beautiful Tabriz Carpet, Persia, circa 1900, estimated to bring $15,000-25,000. Other highlights include a circa 1880 Mohtashem Kashan Carpet, 13 feet 3 inch x 10 feet 6 inches, is estimated at $5,000-10,000 and a Parisian Galerie Boccara Modernist Style Carpet, in the manner of Ivan da Silva Bruhns, 19 foot 3 inch x 12 foot 11 inch, is also estimated at $5,000-10,000.

Collector’s will take note of the circa 1880 Kazak Rug, 6 feet 8 inches x 5 feet 7 inches, estimated at $10,000-15,000 and a Suzanni Embroidery, circa 1900, estimated at $4,000-6,000.
