Highlights of the sale include:

DAY 1
Lot 115: a fine Chinese Ming-style blue and white porcelain bottle vase. The piece bears the six-character underglazed blue seal mark of the emperor Qianlong and possibly dates from the period of his reign. The tapering cylindrical body is lightly molded and painted in 15th century style with ten vertical panels of alternating flower stems within horizontal borders with scrolling foliage encircling the slightly waisted foot, and below the shoulders. Bidding will begin at $15,000.

Lot 502: a Khmer sandstone figure of Ganesha, dating from the 7th/8th century. The figure is carved to depict the elephant headed Hindu deity wearing a short sampot tied with a sash below the waist. The piece stands 27 inches high on a stone display stand. Minimum Bid $15,000.

DAY2
Lot 947: a Handel reverse-painted glass and patinated-metal three-light table lamp, introduced in 1921. The reverse-painted shade depicts a wooded landscape on chipped-ice textured glass. The rim is marked “Handel Lamps, Pat’d No. 979664” and the interior is signed “Handel 6810”. The three-light base has a copper colored patina, pull-chain sockets and the underside has attached a “Handel Lamps” fabric label. Bidding opens at $1,250.

Lot 1109: a model ship diorama of the Civil War blockade runner, “The Hope” of 1864. Made by master craftsman, R.K. Willimson on a 1:50 scale, this painted wood diorama depicts shore-side activity including several smaller ships in harbor. The lot includes a glazed display case with mirror back. Minimum Bid for this piece is $1,250.

DAY 3
Lot 1682: a Clyde Singer (American, 1908-1998) oil painting Ain’t Gonna Rain, signed and dated ’46 at the lower left. The work depicts an African American woman with a small girl pulling aside the curtain of a window. It is framed and measures 24 in. x 48 in. Bidding begins at $25,000.

Lot 1220: a platinum and diamond openwork flexible-link bracelet. The piece consists of 40 graduated brilliant-cut round diamonds alternating with 40 rectangular diamond baguettes set as two border rows, centering a row of 20 tapering diamond baguettes alternating with 20 marquise diamonds. The total weight of the bracelet’s 120 diamonds is approximately 30.00 ct. The bracelet is 6 7/8 in. in length with a width graduating from 9/16 in. to 23/32 in. It closes with a double fish hook style tongue-and-groove clasp. Bidding will open at $10,000.
