The Bonhams Hong Kong 2010 Autumn Modern Wristwatches Auction offers a unique and rare collection of fine timepieces made by the top watchmakers of the world that will appeal to both beginner collectors and connoisseurs.

A few highlights include Lot 1055 Vacheron Constantin Malte, PT950 platinum perpetual calendar wristwatch, manual wind with chronograph and moon phase display, estimated at HK$460,000 – 540,000. Another Vacheron Constantin PT950 platinum perpetual calendar that draws attention is Lot 1109. It comes with an automatic movement, elegant guilloche dial and retrograde date, and is estimated at HK$460,000 – 540,000. In addition, Lot 1070 A. Lange & Sohne 18K rose gold Lange 1 Time Zone, featuring world time with 24 cities, is both functional and elegant and is estimated at HK$240,000 – 320,000.

To meet the seemingly insatiable demand from Patek Philippe collectors, we are offering a PT950 platinum chronograph watch, reference 5070 to meet their need. This model is inspired by the classic chronograph reference 2512, made in 1952. The successor 5070 revives the original ingenious design and elegant dial of the previous model and is estimated at HK$760,000 – 1,000,000. In addition, we have Lot 1125, a classic Patek Philippe made in 1951, Reference 570, that is in very good condition. This 18K rose gold automatic wristwatch is estimated at HK$120,000 – 168,000 and will be highly sought after by collectors.

The auction also offers a variety of rare limited edition Officine Panerai wristwatches. For instance, Lot 1141 is an 18K rose gold Radoimir Tourbillon GMT, Reference PAM330, with a limited edition of only 50 pieces. Estimated at HK$450,000 – 600,000, this would easily become a girl’s next best friend. Lot 1138 Cartier 18K white gold Tankissime is set with approximately 7.60 carats of diamond. Refined and versatile, it is estimated at HK$320,000 – 550,000. Another eye-catcher is Lot 1136 Audemars Piguet 18K rose gold diamond wristwatch. The hour indexes are set with high quality rubies, while the rest of the watch is set with approximately 6.00 carats of diamonds in a gorgeous design.
