Bidders in attendance at Chicago’s award-winning TRU restaurant enjoyed incredible wines and great food throughout both days.

“The global market was decidedly upbeat with active participation from Asia, North & South America, and Europe,” said CEO Paul Hart.

Bordeaux from the heralded 2000 vintage commanded robust prices throughout the day. Château Pétrus was in the spotlight as well, with a case of the 1983 vintage (estimate $8000-$12,000) selling for $16,730, and a case of the 2002 vintage (estimate $9500 – $14,000) commanding $19,120. Other singular highlights included two lots from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti: a 1998 Assortment (estimate $10,000 – $15,000), which fetched $20,315, and a three bottle lot of 1999 Montrachet (estimate $7000-$10,000), which brought $14,340.
