India’s largest auction house Saffronart brings together a unique collection of contemporary and period silverware in a new for-sale exhibition at its gallery in Delhi. The exhibition includes a range of items, both Indian and international, from intricately engraved period vases and objets d’art, to minimalist and straight-lined contemporary one-of-a-kind pieces.
The exhibition comprises approximately 20 hallmarked pieces made by contemporary designers, in addition to approximately 10 hallmarked period silverware objects, highlighting the important role silver has always played in India, as well as the ways in which talented designers in the country continue to interpret this heritage. The pieces will be on view at Saffronart, Delhi, from September 24 – October 5, 2012. Select pieces will also be available for sale on the Saffronart website at www.saffronart.com.
