Hart Davis Hart Wine Co. to Hold Sixth Annual Celebration of Burgundy Auction Estimated to Hammer Between $3.3-4.9M

Featuring DRC, Jayer, Leroy, Rousseau, and More

(Chicago, IL)-Hart Davis Hart Wine Co. is pleased to announce that our sixth annual Celebration of Burgundy will be held on April 1st. This special sale, which is devoted exclusively to the wines of Burgundy, will feature 1,448 lots projected to fetch $3.3-4.9 million. Worldwide demand for Burgundy is robust and the impressive breadth of this auction is expected to attract bidders from around the globe.

The Celebration of Burgundy auction will include one of the greatest consignments of Burgundy ever to be sold at auction. A Cellar of Legendary Wines with Important Provenance (lots 454-613) contains some of the most significant wines ever produced in Burgundy. The banded case of 1985 La Tâche (lot 465), which can be seen on the front cover of the catalog, is representative of what this incredible consignment has to offer. Wines from this cellar generated massive interest in HDH’s Celebration of Bordeaux auction last year due to the collection’s incredible provenance. Now is your chance to acquire exceptionally rare Burgundy from this special cellar, sourced from the likes of Henry Singleton, Lenoir Josey and Herbert Bridges Harris, Jr.

With just a quick glance through the rest of the catalog, bidders will note this auction’s thorough coverage of Burgundy: over 160 domaines are represented, with vintages from 1949 to 2015. The sale contains an extensive array of wines from the most legendary estates of the region. Highlights include:
