Right Media spearheads global growth with two key appointments

Right Media, creator of the Right Media Exchange, the open exchange for interactive advertising, is spearheading its growth across Europe and Asia with the appointment of two new senior managers. The move is part of the company’s strategic plan to create an open worldwide marketplace for the buying and selling of online media.

Denise Colella joins Right Media as Vice President International Operations and will lead the company’s international expansion. Colella was previously Vice President of Product Operations at US technology and services organisation, Blackfoot Inc where she managed the development of its marketing intelligence platform. Previously she was Business and Technical Operations Director for cooperative database company, Abacus (now a division of Epsilon) launching the company into France and Japan and managing production teams across London, Paris and Dublin. Colella’s initial focus will be on taking the organisation into key growth areas, focusing at first on the fast growing Japanese and European marketplaces.

In addition, Right Media has appointed Roger Williams into the newly created position of Director – International Marketing. Based in London and reporting to Colella, he is tasked with building a global brand and challenging the digital market to look at new ways of buying and selling online media. Williams joins from Abacus where, as International Marketing Director, he was responsible for the company’s expansion into Germany, France, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. Previously he was Marketing Director at Claritas UK (now Acxiom).

Right Media launched in London in 2006, bringing the concept of an open media exchange, in which advertising impressions are openly traded in a real-time auction, to the UK market. Already established in the US and rapidly emerging as compelling alternative to trading via a closed ad network group, Right Media now serves over 3bn impressions every day globally.
