1960s Michigan Concert Memorabilia at HeART of Rock n Roll Auction Nov. 11

Sixties Posters & SF Rock Posters are pleased to announce their 2007 “The HeART of Rock N Roll” Poster Auction which is now live online at www.sixtiesposters.com. Their 7th online auction will feature over 300 rare items from the psychedelic-era, and will also feature several items from today’s popular artists.

Most concert posters you see are from the Fillmore and Family Dog in San Francisco, but the auction will also feature a selection of posters, handbills and postcards from the Grande Ballroom, Detroit’s Fillmore, and other Michigan venues featuring such great bands as Led Zeppelin opening for Sun Ra, The Jefferson Airplane, B.B. King, and local favorites The Stooges, MC5, The Rationals, SRC, The Amboy Dukes and Bob Seger.

The Michigan music scene also featured many festivals including The Detroit-Windsor Pop Festival, The Detroit Rock n Roll Revival, The John Sinclair Freedom Festival with John Lennon, and the famous Blues Festivals in Ann Arbor. The auction features several rare posters from this important musical time period,

Also included in the auction will be several hundred of the rarest concert posters and handbills, along with other rare poster oddities from the sixties, will be sold to the highest bidder, including The Beatles Final Concert at Candlestick Park, San Francisco in 1966, Woodstock originals, Hell’s Angels posters, BG-74 Grateful Dead Toronto handbill with Ticket stub, long with handbills and posters from Detroit’s Grande Ballroom, Boston Tea Party, Chicago’s Aragon Ballroom, Fillmore and Avalon.

The auction is now live, and will begin closing at 7 PM EST on November 11th.
