The 8th Annual Big Bad Ball Accepting Donations for Silent Auction, Auction Proceeds and Raffle Ticket Sales to Benefit Hospice of Wake County
April Mills, event co-chair for the 8th Annual Big Bad Ball (www.bigbadball.com), announced today that donations are being accepted for the event’s silent auction and raffle ticket sales have begun. The black-tie event is scheduled for Saturday, October 3rd at 7:00pm at the Capital City Club in Raleigh.
Any business or individual is welcome to donate goods or services. Prior auctions have featured sports memorabilia, event and show tickets, wine tastings, travel certificates, restaurant gift certificates and vacation home weeks. In addition, purchasing raffle tickets for the Big Bad Ball provides a 1 in 500 chance to win $10,000! While any committee member can help with the purchase of raffle tickets, to donate auction items contact Jessie Hrivnak at [email protected] or 919.433.3563.
“Proceeds from the silent auction will mean so much to patients who have no means of paying for hospice care and to family members, including children and teens, who will take advantage of individual counseling, support groups, workshops, and memorial services through our Horizons Grief Center,” said Michael Blanchard, VP of Development, Hospice of Wake County.
Diane Dennis, committee co-chair says, “This year’s Silent Auction is sure to be a huge success. Thanks to the efforts of Jessie and the team the Silent Auction will feature some new and exciting options with an exceptional range of gifts and experiences. There will be something to fit everyone’s budget.”
Hosted by the Young Executives Board of the Capital City Club, the 8th Annual Big Bad Ball will include live music, a silent auction, door prizes, and a raffle to benefit Hospice of Wake County, a private nonprofit organization that provides compassionate end-of-life care and support for terminally ill patients and their families.
