Ritchie Bros. to hold large unreserved auction on site of former Vancouver, WA airport

Ritchie Bros. Auctioneers , the world’s largest industrial auctioneer, is conducting a large, public, multi-million dollar unreserved equipment auction on Friday, July 31, 2009 starting at 8:00 a.m. at the former Vancouver, Washington airport located at 13910 SE Mill Plain.

Over the past week the number of equipment items being sold in the unreserved auction has increased from 700 items to close to 1,000. About half of the total number of equipment items for sale in the auction is part of a complete dispersal for long-time Ritchie Bros. customer George Schmid Sons, a family-owned excavation business founded in 1958 in Washougal, Washington.

The diverse range of well-maintained construction and transportation equipment items being sold includes: loader backhoes, wheel loaders, crawler tractors, hydraulic excavators, motor graders, articulated dump trucks, and pickup, flatbed, lube and water trucks. There is a large amount of aggregate equipment in the auction, including cone, jaw, and impact crushers, screen plants and more than 30 conveyors. Each item will be sold to the highest bidder on auction day with no minimum bids or reserve prices.
