In an unprecedented event, Bonhams & Goodman – Australia’s largest auctioneer of fine jewellery, is to offer at auction for the first time not one, but two exceptional pink diamonds from the Rio Tinto Argyle Diamond Tenders.
Bonhams & Goodman has earned a reputation for jewellery auctions of distinction and the forthcoming auctions, to be held in Melbourne on Wednesday 26 August and in Sydney on Monday 14 September will showcase some of the finest jewellery to be offered in Australia this year.
The highlight of the coloured diamond industry calendar is the annual Rio Tinto Argyle Pink Diamond Tender. Every year, the finest stones from the Rio Tinto Argyle mine, travel the world on a highly secure, international tour to solicit offers of interest from the world’s foremost diamond buyers and noted gem collectors. Access to the tender is closed to the public, and the highly coveted invitations are only extended to around one hundred guests worldwide.
