Window World Raises $290,000 for St. Jude Children’s Hospital With Motorsports Art and Memorabilia Auction

Window World Cares, the charitable foundation of Window World, Inc., continues its commitment to St. Jude Children’s Hospital with an auction that raised more than $290,000.

The money was raised through a motorsports art and memorabilia auction organized by Window World, the nation’s largest supplier of replacement windows. The event was held August 1, 2009 at The Rosen Shingle Creek Convention Hotel in Orlando.

The auction brought together two areas of ongoing support for Window World — pediatric cancer research and Motorsports. The company began both relationships earlier this year with a 2008 year-end donation to St. Jude and NASCAR and Indy 500 racing sponsorships of cars driven by John Andretti and Terry Labonte.

Paintings by motorsports artist Bill Patterson (www.billpattersonart.com) and a cowboy hat autographed by legendary NASCAR driver Richard Petty raised $118,000 at auction; the amount was matched by Window World, Inc. The remaining funds were raised through pledges from Window World employees and corporate donors.

“Window World Cares is committed to raising money to fund the cutting-edge work that is done at St. Jude. The children need our help, and this donation is one way we can support the advanced care and research provided by this outstanding hospital,” said Tammy Whitworth, Chairperson of Window World Cares.

Window World has exclusively committed its fundraising efforts to St. Jude to support the hospital’s treatment of catastrophic pediatric diseases because no child is ever denied treatment due to the family’s inability to pay.

Window World, Inc. is America’s largest replacement window company with offices in more than 200 cities nationwide. Founded in 1995, the company delivers value to homeowners by combining quality products with excellent service at affordable prices.
