Auction of Manufacturing, Industrial Equipment in Kentucky

Kentucky operators of industrial and manufacturing facilities are encouraged to participate in one of the region’s largest auctions of industrial/manufacturing equipment and office furniture, scheduled for October 17 in Louisville.

More than 150 individual pieces of equipment – including punch presses, plate roll, press brakes, manual brakes, drill presses, fork lifts, welders, cranes and air compressors and four trucks to name a few – will be sold at absolute auction.

Office furniture, modular offices and framed prints also will be auctioned.

The auction is scheduled for Saturday, October 17, at 10 a.m. EDT. Inspection and an optional pre-registration is Friday, October 16, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The auction will be on the property of GCH International, 500 Bergman Street, just south of downtown Louisville.

Louisville-based GCH International is holding the auction as a means of consolidating and relocating its entire operation to a newly refurbished facility, also in Louisville.

GCH International is a designer and fabricator of specialized equipment for manufacturing, industrial and automated processes.

“As we began to consolidate and move all of our people onto our one worksite, it became obvious that we had significant duplication of equipment,” said Jeff Androla, CEO and president of GCH International. “The result is that we have equipment that is in outstanding condition, but it is impractical for us to move all of it to the new facility.”

Androla said he expects machine shop and tool and die operators, as well as metalworkers from throughout the region to attend.

The auction will be conducted by Tritech Auctions, Inc., one of the region’s largest auction companies for commercial and industrial auctions. More information can be found at their website: www.tritechauctions.com
