Cordier Antiques & Auctions of Camp Hill, Pennsylvania announced that Peter Swift Seibert has joined their auction company as a Senior Consultant and Catalog Specialist. Mr. Seibert has extensive expertise in Americana, Folk Art, documents and manuscripts, militaria, textiles and Native American artifacts. In his capacity at Cordier Auctions, Seibert will consult with consignors, provide appraisals and catalog collections for Cordier’s live/Internet catalog auctions.
Mr. Seibert served as President of the Heritage Center of Lancaster County Inc. from 1993 through 2008. His professional career includes service at the Historical Societies of Dauphin and Cumberland Counties and Fort Hunter Museum in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. Seibert received his Master of Arts in American Studies from Pennsylvania State University in 1992. Seibert is the author of several books and many essays and articles primarily on Pennsylvania decorative arts. He has also lectured extensively on various topics including presentations at Winterthur Museum and the American Folk Art Museum in New York.
