Julien’s Auctions Announces 100 North Carolwood Drive Sale

Julien’s Auctions, announces a sale of fine art and furnishings from 100 North Carolwood Drive, which will take place on Saturday, Dec. 17th, 2011, at Julien’s Auctions Gallery in Beverly Hills, California. This exclusive sale will feature fine art, antiques, quality modern furniture and other collectibles from the residence in Holmby Hills.

Amongst some of the many highlights coming to the auction block are a Maurice Utrillo watercolor (Est: $20,000/$30,000), various seascapes by Ludolf Bakhuysen (Est: $15,000/$20,000), Abraham Hulk (Est:$6,000/$8,000) and Carol Johan Neumann (Est: $3,000/$5,000). Other fine art items include a collection of fine 19th century Orientalist works including a watercolor by Paul Pascal (Est: $2,000/$3,000) and paintings by Robert Gibb RSA (Est: $3,000/$4,000), Adolf Schreyer (Est: $10,000/$15,000) and Henri Emilien Rousseau (Est: $15,000/$20,000).

Fine antique furniture being offered includes an elaborately carved and gilded Louis XV headboard (Est: $3,000/$4,000), a Louis XVI style pier mirror (Est: $2,000/$3,000), a Louis XVI style armoire with ormolu mounts (Est: $2,500/$3,500) and matching headboard (Est: $2,000/$3,000), and a fancy burlwood Victorian Revival Style armoire (Est: $6,000/$8,000) with other matching pieces including a headboard, nightstands and a dresser. Highly collectible modern furniture, including various George Smith upholstered sofas, chairs, chaise lounges (Est: $1,000/$3,000), desks, tables and table lamps by Maitland Smith and Mitchell Litt are also among the collection.

Other highlights will include Oriental rugs, Asian ceramic jardinières, French 18th and 19th century style furnishings, and various framed prints.

The Exhibition of “100 North Carolwood Drive” presented by Julien’s Auctions, Beverly Hills is designed by Rush Jenkins and Klaus Baer, of WRJ Design Associates, who have designed exhibits for The Collection of Michael Jackson, The Estate of Johnny Cash, The Collection of Cher, The Collection of Barbra Streisand and more recently The Estate of Tony Curtis.
