(Chicago, IL)-Hart Davis Hart Wine Co., the internationally renowned wine auction house and online retailer, is thrilled to announce its final auction of the season will take place on June 23rd and 24th at TRU restaurant in Chicago. Valued at an estimated $3.9-5.9 million, the sale will feature over 2,000 lots of incredible diversity and provenance.
The June auction boasts a host of rare Bordeaux and Burgundy. Those interested in First Growth Bordeaux will be pleased to find 226 lots valued at an estimated $900,000-1.3 million. Highlights include 11 bottles of 1982 Château Lafite Rothschild (lot1474, est. $18,000-28,000), four full-case lots of 1989 Château Haut-Brion in OWC (lots 2, 213, 658 & 1462, est. $15,000-22,000), and three bottles of 1959 Château Mouton Rothschild (lot 1504, est. $5,500-8,500). Burgundy collectors will not want to miss the 163 lots of DRC (est. $778,800-1.1 million), 55 lots of Armand Rousseau (est. $121,810-182,250), and the 52 lots of Domaine Dujac (est. $70,280-104,930). In total 744 lots of Burgundy valued at an estimated 1.5-2.3 million will be on offer.
Rhône and Spain are also well represented – bidders will find rare selections from Guigal and Chave and Spanish wine lovers will be thrilled by the 33 lots of Unico included in the sale (est. $41,650-61,650).
In addition to the astounding assortment of old world wines, the June sale features a range of California Cabernets and Bordeaux Blends. There are 20 lots of Harlan Estate’s flagship wine (est. $38,350-57,950) and 21 lots of Screaming Eagle including three bottles of 1997 (lot 686, est. $8,500-13,000) and three bottles of 2010 (lot 1798, est. $5,000-7,500). Bottlings from Dominus, Opus One, and Schrader are also not to be missed. Place your bids early to secure these incredible wines for your cellar.
