Hart Davis Hart Wine Co. Announces Largest Ever Three-Day September Sale

(Chicago, IL) – Hart Davis Hart Wine Co. is thrilled the announce a remarkable three-day Auction of Finest & Rarest Wines to be held on September 13, 14 & 15. This sale will set the stage for the second half of 2018 at HDH, with over 3,000 lots to be offered and expected to garner $10-15 million. The September auction will be the largest sale held in the United States in over two years and will be the largest in the history of U.S. wine market leader, Hart Davis Hart.

The September auction is made up of several distinguished and comprehensive collections and includes a tremendous assortment of wines. The sale is studded with exquisite First Growth Bordeaux, irreplaceable Burgundy, noteworthy California and far more.

The September sale has two standout collections – one comprising of a plethora of Burgundy, the other A Monumental Cellar of First Growth Bordeaux. The Burgundy cellar includes libraries from DRC to Leflaive to Ramonet to Rousseau. With an estimated value for this cellar alone of $2.5-3.8 million, this is a truly remarkable collection of some the most-sought wines in the world. The highlight of this collection is the 399 bottles of Domaine Leroy including 71 bottles of Clos de la Roche, 35 bottles of Clos Vougeot, 27 bottles of Latricières-Chambertin, 79 bottles of Richebourg, 69 bottles of Romanée-St-Vivant, 70 bottles of Vosne-Romanée, Beaux Monts, and 36 bottles of 1985 Chambertin from Maison Leroy. Also to be offered are 3 jeroboams of 1971 La Tâche, 130 bottles of Chambertin, Armand Rousseau, and 59 bottles of Chambertin, Clos de Bèze, Armand Rousseau.

A Monumental Cellar of First Growth Bordeaux is one of the most important and comprehensive collections of Bordeaux to appear on the market for some time. Valued at an estimated $2.7-4 million, the collection is saturated with a spectacular range of First Growths spanning four decades. To add to its luster, a cache of rare large format bottles will be featured. Highlights include 85 bottles of Château Haut-Brion, 169 bottles of Château La Mission Haut-Brion, 294 bottles of Château Lafite, 282 bottles of Château Latour, 301 bottles of Château Margaux, 358 bottles of Château Mouton, 143 bottles of Château Palmer, and 37 bottles of Château Pétrus. For those interested in large formats, this consignments contains 2 18L Melchiors of Château Cheval Blanc, 10 Imperials of Château La Mission Haut-Brion, 35 Imperials of Château Lafite, 28 Imperials of Château Latour, 34 Imperials of Château Margaux, and 31 Imperials of Château Mouton.
