Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR) Announces Public Auction at Former Marietta State Nursery

Nursery equipment, supplies and other Division of Forestry inventory will be sold

An absolute public auction will be held at the former Marietta State Nursery headquarters in Reno on Saturday, July 23, at 10 a.m., according to the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR), Division of Forestry.

The auction will be held at the former nursery headquarters located at 27515 State Route 7, Reno, Ohio 45750.

“This equipment and supplies auction is part of the process to facilitate the transition and future development of the former Marietta State Nursery,” said Robert Boyles, chief of the Ohio Division of Forestry. “While the property itself will not be auctioned at this time, Southeastern Ohio Port Authority staff and board members will be available during the auction, at the nursery office, to share information on the 95 acres being sold.”

On July 23, doors will open at 8 a.m., with the auction starting at 10 a.m. Opportunities to preview sale items will be held on Thursday and Friday, July 21 and 22 from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Items purchased can be removed on the day of the auction, as well as from 9 a.m.-3 p.m., Monday through Wednesday, July 25-27. Division of Forestry staff will be available to assist with loading equipment at those times.

Equipment that will be sold at the auction includes vehicles, trailers, motorcycles, tractors, bulldozers, and nursery specific items such as applicators, lifters, pruners, and seeders. Photos of some of the items can be seen at this link: http://dasapps.ohio.gov/Surplus/offsiteauction/index.htm
