SAN FRANCISCO – The upcoming season finale of the Emmy-nominated hit Project Runway is just around the corner (Wednesday, March 5 on Bravo, 10PM EST/PST) and show fans are flocking to ProjectRunway.com. The site gives fans access to exclusive auctions of the actual designs created by the contestants on the show.
Auctions are currently available on ProjectRunway.com, with garments designed by Chris March and Kathleen “Sweet P” Vaughn available for bidding through March 5. Immediately following the season finale on March 5, more than 35 original garments designed by the final three contestants, Rami Kashou, Jillian Lewis and Christian Siriano will run through March 12. The auction of this year’s winning collection will extend an additional week closing March 19. A portion of the proceeds from the final collections will go to benefit New York-based The HOPE Program, a career-development program helping homeless and welfare-dependent adults.
“We are so excited to give our loyal fans the opportunity to bid on and actually own the designs they love. This is a fun and affordable initiative that maximizes technology and supports an important cause,” said Barbara Schneeweiss, Vice President TV and Film Production & Development for TWC. “In developing and producing Project Runway for television, The Weinstein Company has strived to create a Web site that provides one-stop shopping for all things Project Runway.
