GADSDEN, Ala – At least 15 home sites on Lake Dannelly – and possibly dozens of others – will sell in a “Grand Opening” auction Saturday, March 29, with Gadsden’s Albert Burney Auction Company managing the sale.
The home sites – part of the Shadow Creek Community being created along the shores of the lake – average approximately 1.9 acres. Fifteen – including five directly on the lake and 10 with lake views and access – will sell absolute, meaning each will go to the high bidder with no minimum bid or reserve. The sale will be held at 11 a.m. at the property, which is located on the southern shores of the lake in Wilcox County.
“Lake Dannelly is one of Alabama’s best secrets – a lake where you can get away and enjoy some great fishing, boating or skiing without the overcrowding that you’ll find on some of Alabama’s other lakes,” said Warren Ward, president of Albert Burney Auction Company.
“With 15 sites selling without reserve, individuals will have an excellent opportunity to get a home site at an excellent price,” said Ward.
The final number of home sites to be sold will depend on the demand, according to Ward.
“We know at least 15 will sell, and we’ll continue to auction additional sites as long as there is sufficient demand. The developer is seeking to get as many home sites as possible into the hands of people who plan to build on them so that the community can establish momentum,” he said.
Representatives will be on site to show the property on specified days beginning Thursday, March 14. Individuals interested in additional information about the home sites may contact Albert Burney Auction Company at 800.434.1654 or visit the company’s web site at www.albertburney.com.
