Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty is holding an auction from a selection of 46 new condominiums on Saturday, February 14 at 11:00 am EST.
The auction will be held at the Sportsman’s Lodge, located at 300 Broad River Place in Welaka.
The auction for the two and three-bedroom condos should appeal to hunters – bargain hunters. Ten of the condos will be sold in an absolute auction, meaning they will be sold to the highest bidder regardless of price. The suggested opening bids start at $85,000.
“The absolute auction presents the best possible situation for buyers,” said Roger Soderstrom, owner and founder of Stirling Sotheby’s International Realty. “There are no reserve prices for those ten properties and we intend to sell them all on auction day.”

Open houses are scheduled for Saturday, January 31 (1-4 pm), Saturday, February 7 (1-4 pm), Sunday, February 8 (1-4 pm) and Wednesday, February 11 (3-7 pm).
Sportsman’s Lodge is located along the bank of the St. Johns River in Welaka. The area is known as “The Bass Capital of the World,” as the St. Johns River, Crescent Lake, Lake George and Silver Glen Springs provide some of the best fishing in the world. The waters are full of trophy-size largemouth and striped bass, brim, shellcrackers, speckled perch, channel and blue catfish and blue crabs.
Buyers will have no trouble getting to the fish – each Sportsman’s Lodge residence comes with its own boat slip that accommodates boats up to 35 feet long.
In addition to fishing, the area is also great for family boating, biking, hiking or just taking in the breathtaking views.
