Hart Davis Hart Wine Co. will host an exceptional wine auction on Saturday, September 12th at 9:00 a.m at Tru restaurant. The sale will offer 1134 lots of the finest and rarest wines, including an exciting selection of Bordeaux from the heralded 1982, 1990 and 2000 vintages. Consignments feature such wines as Château Pétrus, Château Haut-Brion, Château Lafite Rothschild, Harlan Estate, and Sine Qua Non as well as a large selection of Burgundy from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. The value of the auction is estimated at $1.8 to $2.7 million.
Highlights include a remarkable cellar amassed by a prominent collector over the past thirty years. Featured are magnum cases of Château Pétrus 1982 as well as 1971 La Tâche in bottle, magnum and two rare jeroboam. Madeira collectors will want to take notice of the collection offered from one of the leading Madeira collectors in the world which features rare bottlings from the 1795, 1802, and 1920 vintages.

Hope Dream Live Charity Auction & Comparative Bordeaux Tasting
On Thursday, September 12th, Hart Davis Hart Wine Co. will hold its 3rd annual charity wine auction and Comparative Bordeaux Tasting, “Hope Dream Live 2009” an evening of extraordinary cuisine and rare wines at world-renowned restaurant TRU, located at 676 N. St. Clair Street. The event will benefit Camp Independence, a camping experience designed to foster independence in children and young adults with neurological disabilities, including spina bifida.
The Comparative Bordeaux Tasting will feature twenty wines from the highly regarded tandem vintages of 1998 and 1999. Of the twenty Châteaux featured, all five of the First Growths will be represented: Haut-Brion, Lafite Rothschild, Latour, Margaux and Mouton Rothschild. In addition, traditional favorites such as La Mission Haut Brion, Pichon-Lalande, Lynch-Bages, and Cheval Blanc will be included, along with a host of other wines. The evening will include a 10 lot live auction featuring collectible wines and dining packages benefiting Camp Independence. TRU restaurant will prepare food pairings to complement the wines.
