This extraordinary two-day sale will offer 1,627 lots with a pre-sale estimate of $2.5-$3.7 million and will feature private cellars from across the US. Highlights include a 55 lot offering of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti from the remarkable Fox Cellar as well as a magnificent collection of mature Bordeaux from the Estate of Clarence Day. The Day collection features such rare treasures as 1961 Montrose, 1966 Pétrus, 1966 La Mission Haut-Brion and 1970 Pétrus, many in full cases.
Burgundy aficionados will have the opportunity to acquire top wines of the best vintages from sought-after producers including Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, Rousseau, Vogüé, and Lafon. Among the rare offerings are 3 bottles of 1990 La Tâche estimated at $9,000-$14,000 and a case 1993 Chambertin, Clos de Bèze, Armand Rousseau (12 bs) estimated at $12,000-$18,000. Collectors of California wine will have a bounty to choose from, including 103 lots of Sine Qua Non.
