Artfest International, Inc. (OTCBB: ARTS), a leading edge arts distribution company, announced today that its wholly owned subsidiary, Charity Sports Distribution, Inc. (CSD), has launched sports memorabilia auctions at the Georgia Dome in Atlanta, Georgia, for the entire 2009 football season during all Atlanta Falcons home games.
The Georgia Dome has permanent seating for 71,250 fans. The silent auctions at all Falcons home football games will be managed by Legends Hospitality Management under an agreement with CSD. Revenues from each game are expected to run between 10% to 500% higher than the revenues produced from previous year. “All of our College and Pro teams are doing significantly better as compared to last year revenues. This is what motivates our management to pursue and expand our contracts and new territories!” stated Angie Tassan, Artfest CMO. The auction displays are featured before and during the game at Gate A and Gate D. Among the merchandise offered are premium quality framed and autographed memorabilia from Atlanta Falcons players and other celebrities.
“This is a fantastic venue where tens of thousands of enthusiastic fans can find the kinds of sports and entertainment memorabilia they are looking for. It’s a convenient purchase location for customers, while offering Artfest a strong sales channel without infrastructure costs,” stated Edward Vakser, CEO of Artfest International.
CSD President Steve Rash added, “We are excited to add the Georgia Dome and Atlanta Falcons to our growing number of sales venues. We plan on adding additional NFL and college football venues in the coming months. Once more stadium-goers learn about the terrific signed memorabilia we auction, we expect greater sales volume as the football season progresses and we approach the holiday shopping season.”
CSD is in the gift, novelty, collectable and memorabilia business and operates souvenir shops and game day auctions at college sport venues such as Auburn, Iowa, Florida State, South Carolina, and UCLA. In addition to holding sports memorabilia auctions at upcoming Dallas Cowboys and Atlanta Falcons games, CSD is also the official high-end memorabilia dealer for The Texas Rangers, Dallas Stars, and the Dallas Mavericks.
