Carfax announced today that DealerTrack Inventory Optimization, powered by AAX, has integrated access to Carfax Auction Quick Check. With this new functionality, auction buyers can quickly get key vehicle history details such as ownership history, branded title information and damage records reported to Carfax. Using this information, dealers can better evaluate online auction units prior to purchase.
“We use Carfax Auction Quick Check through DealerTrack Inventory Optimization to help us select the highest quality cars for our inventory and our customers,” said Corey Hawkins, Sales Manager, Sewell Lexus of Fort Worth. “Running a Carfax Report before bidding helps us make sure we’re bidding appropriately so we don’t lose money on a vehicle. Buying quality vehicles at the correct price allows us to pass the savings on to our customers and gives them peace of mind.”
Dealers can now access both Carfax Auction Quick Check and the full Carfax Vehicle History Reports from within DealerTrack Inventory Optimization, powered by AAX. This information helps identify cars that would command a premium retail price, as well as improve dealer inventory turn. For example, a previous study by DealerTrack shows that dealers sell Carfax 1-Owner cars five days faster and make 23% more profit compared to multiple-owner vehicles.
“We are pleased to provide dealers with additional value by integrating ‘one-click’ access to Carfax Auction Quick Check within our Inventory Optimization solution,” said Raj Sundaram, senior vice president, solution and services group at DealerTrack. “This user-friendly and highly cost-effective feature enables dealer personnel at auctions or other remote locations to more easily get the critical information they need to make smart vehicle buying decisions and enhance their profitability.”
Auction buyers are bidding with greater confidence and cherry-picking their inventory with readily available access to vehicle history information from Carfax. To sign up with Carfax or get Carfax Auction Quick Check call (800) 274-2277.
