Auction Featuring Deep Offerings of Domaine de La Romanée-Conti
(January 7, 2010 – Chicago, IL) – Hart Davis Hart Wine Co., the internationally renowned wine auction house and retailer, will hold an auction of Finest and Rarest wines on January 30th at award-winning restaurant Tru, located at 676 North St. Clair Street in Chicago. The auction, which includes over 1000 lots, is estimated to fetch $2-3 million and will begin promptly at 9:00 a.m.
The sale will feature an impressive 79 lots of Burgundy from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti including a pristine case of 1990 La Tâche that was strapped prior to inspection by HDH, as well as 12 lots of DRC Montrachet, regarded by many to be the finest of all white wines.

The eight auctions held by Hart Davis Hart in 2009 at Tru restaurant in Chicago brought $24,008,542. The firm achieved by far the highest sell-through rate in the industry at 99.85%. HDH held three single-owner auctions in 2009 totaling $9,134,939, all of which were 100% sold.
