Nashville Forest Hills Luxury Home Auction

One of the most luxurious homes in Nashville’s Forest Hills community and one of the few to be built there since the 1960s, will be sold in an absolute auction Saturday, June 5.

The three-year-old home has approximately 8,600 square feet, a master suite with a see-through fireplace, a home theater and a wine cellar. But one thing it’s never had is an owner.

That will change on June 5, according to Will McLemore, president of Nashville-based McLemore Auction Company, which is selling the property for Pinnacle Bank. “Selling at absolute auction means the home will go to the highest bidder with no minimum bid or reserve. This is something rarely seen in the Nashville area in the last few years, as very few luxury homes have sold without a reserve,” said McLemore.

“The home got completed at the worst possible time, in 2007, when the real estate market was sliding into the worst decline in decades and there was little interest in luxury homes. As a result, it is now owned by Pinnacle. The bank’s officials have decided that it’s time to use an absolute auction to get it sold and let someone make it their home,” said McLemore.

The home has five bedrooms, five full baths (three half-baths), and a grand foyer with a marble floor. “It really is an incredible, luxurious home, but it needs an owner,” said McLemore. “The bank just decided that with the real estate market beginning to recover, it was time to act.” The auction will begin at 11 a.m. at the home, located at 1138 Balbade Drive.
