Skinner’s September Discovery Auction to Feature Silver; Vintage Jewelry; American, European and Asian Furniture; and more

Skinner, Inc. will host a Discovery auction on September 14th and 15th in its Marlborough gallery. The large sale helps kick-off the autumn auction season, with more than 1,500 lots up for bid.

Wednesday’s offerings, which go on the block starting at 2 p.m. include approximately 200 lots of American, British & International silver and silverplated holloware and flatware; nearly 350 lots of Antique, period & vintage jewelry, gemstones & semi-precious stones, and costume jewelry; approximately 200 lots of American Indian & Ethnographic Art; and approximately 100 lots of stringed and fretted musical instruments.

Thursday’s Session II begins at 10 a.m. and features a mix of American, European and Asian furniture & decorative arts; paintings, prints & works on paper; Oriental carpets & rugs; and late Victorian art glass.

Auction Previews and Catalogue Information
To view the auction property prior to the auction, attend the auction preview in person on Tuesday, September 13th, 12-5 p.m., Wednesday, September 14th, 10-6 p.m., or Thursday, September 15th before the auction, 9-10 a.m., at Skinner, 274 Cedar Hill Street, Marlborough, Mass.
