(Chicago, IL) – Hart Davis Hart Wine Co., the number one wine auction house in America and internationally renowned retailer, will hold an exciting auction of finest and rarest wines on October 29th at award-winning restaurant Tru, located at 676 North St. Clair Street in Chicago. The auction will begin promptly at 9:00am, includes over 1300 lots, and is estimated to fetch $3.3-$4.9 million.
The impressive sale features a number of important private cellars from all areas of the U.S. In total, 98 lots of Château Lafite Rothschild worth an estimated $670,000-$1,000,000 will be offered, along with 100 lots from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti including 26 lots of La Tâche and 10 lots of Romanée-Conti. In addition to Lafite a library of perfectly-stored Bordeaux will be offered including 62 lots of Latour, 74 lots of Margaux, 83 lots of Mouton and 27 lots each of Cheval Blanc and Haut-Brion, nearly all in original wood cases.
Also included is a dazzling array of highly-sought rare Burgundy from respected producers Domaine Ponsot, Henri Jayer, Armand Rousseau and Roumier. Highlights include six bottles of 1990 Chambertin, Armand Rousseau ($6,000-$9,000), eight bottles 1990 Clos de la Roche, Vieilles Vignes Domaine Ponsot ($6,500-$9,500) and one bottle of 1995 Vosne-Romanée, Cros Parantoux Henri Jayer ($1,700-$2,600). Bidders will also find top wines from the Rhône, featuring an impressive array of Guigal’s single vineyard Côte Rôties.
