Bonhams appoint Margaret K. Tierney as representative for Pennsylvania, Delaware and Southern New Jersey

Bonhams, the international fine art auction house, has appointed Margaret K. Tierney as the company’s representative for Pennsylvania, Delaware and Southern New Jersey. Ms. Tierney offers seventeen years of experience in the international fine art auction industry and an in-depth knowledge of the regional, national and international art market.

Malcolm Barber, Bonhams CEO, comments, “We are delighted with our appointment of Margaret Tierney. Margaret has a wealth of experience from the international art auction world that she brings to Bonhams and we welcome her enthusiasm and business acumen.”

Prior to joining Bonhams, Ms. Tierney worked for two other international auction houses in Philadelphia, where she was responsible for all auction activity including appraisals, sales and acquisitions in the Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. In 2006, Ms. Tierney started her own venture and formed Margaret Keene Tierney Fine Art Advisors LLC.

With experience working with multiple private collections, estates, museums and non-profit organizations, Ms. Tierney has negotiated and organized numerous appraisals, sales and acquisitions. She has lectured on the art market to local, state-wide and national organizations, including many Estate Planning Councils in the tri-state area. Ms. Tierney graduated from Boston College and has been actively involved with the Philadelphia Antiques Show, sitting on various committees, since 1999.

Ms. Tierney resides in Berwyn, Pennsylvania with her husband and three children.
